Uood's made-to-measure bathroom furniture solves a demanding space: constant humidity, water splashes and a genuine need for storage within a square footage that is almost always tight. We design each piece from the room's actual dimensions and the way you use it day to day, so the vanity unit, cabinets and niches fit without gaps or workarounds. That way we make the most of every corner, every height and every plumbing run instead of designing around them.
Unlike an off-the-shelf unit, we control the entire journey: design and measurement, production at our factory in Paços de Ferreira, and on-site installation and finishing. Being in Portugal's furniture capital lets us choose materials that stay stable in humid environments and the right hardware, and to fine-tune each piece right up to final assembly. We work throughout Portugal, from Porto to Lisbon, Comporta and the Algarve, as well as on international projects.
We collaborate with architects, interior designers and private clients. Whether you bring us a fully developed design or simply a bathroom to renovate, we handle the technical coordination, confirm measurements on site and liaise with plumbing and electrics so everything arrives ready to install.

Design and measurement
We start from the brief (or your architectural project) and carry out precise on-site measurements. We define materials, hardware and technical details with clear sign-off points.

In-house production
We produce in our factory in Paços de Ferreira, with quality control and finish approval before any piece heads to site.

Installation and finishing
We install with our own team, coordinating with the other trades on site, and hand over with the finish and attention to detail that show in the final result.

For the bathroom we favour materials that stay stable in humid environments and fronts built for frequent contact with water and cleaning products. We work with moisture-resistant boards and lacquered, veneered or laminate finishes, water-resistant tops and hardware with soft-close and sliding systems. The options are always matched to the expected use, the level of the project and the intended aesthetic, without compromising durability or ease of cleaning over time.

What materials do you use to withstand bathroom humidity?
We use materials built for humid environments, such as moisture-resistant boards and lacquered, veneered or laminate fronts, with water-resistant tops. The hardware is chosen for frequent use and for contact with moisture. The aim is to keep the furniture stable and the finish looking good over time, even with regular cleaning.
Can you make furniture for a very small bathroom?

Yes, we design the vanity unit around the existing plumbing and water points. We make the cut-outs needed for the trap and pipework and confirm measurements on site before manufacturing. Where the project allows, we coordinate with the plumber to position the connections in the most functional and clean way.
Do you only make the furniture or handle installation too?
We handle the entire journey: design, measurement, production at our factory in Paços de Ferreira, and on-site installation and finishing. The piece arrives ready to assemble, and we coordinate with the other bathroom trades, such as plumbing and electrics, for an installation with no surprises.
Can you coordinate the bathroom furniture with the rest of the home?
Yes, we coordinate the bathroom furniture with the project's other furniture and bespoke joinery. We align finishes, colours and hardware to keep consistency across rooms, something common in projects with architects and designers or in complete villas and apartments.
